STAFF PROFILES
TERRY M. KANE, President & Creative Director Mr. Kane's first 31 years were with the General Electric Company's diamond business, where he acquired extensive experience in superabrasive technology, including Manufacturing Operations & Training, Engineering, R&D, Application Development and Marketing Communications. Mr. Kane was instrumental in developing the first Website launch for General Electric Company. He also produced the first Superabrasives Education Course for the News and Trade Media plus customer and end user training and educational programs on superabrasive materials, principles and applications. Mr. Kane formulated and instructed courses for Manufacturing Training, Supervisor Leadership, Effective Presentation and other company wide leadership and educational programs. As Manager of Marketing Communications concurrently for GE Gem Technologies, GE Superabrasives and GE Micron Business's. Mr. Kane developed extensive Communication and Marketing programs and educational curricula for the GE businesses and their customers. Mr. Kane was part of original R&D teams to develop processes for Polycrystalline Diamond, Cubic Boron Nitride (cBN) and Diamond Products, as well as various bond, coating and plating systems for the Industrial Diamond business. He also developed a successful in-house coating & nickel plating operation and authored a detailed operational procedure for base-line superabrasive plating operations. Mr. Kane established testing criteria for grinding products and evaluated customer products for analysis and recommended improvements to GE's customer base. His work included SEM examination, metallurgical analysis, crystal wear evaluation and written assessment of grinding wheels and their interaction with various work piece materials in diverse grinding modes and bond systems. Mr. Kane was instrumental in organizing the original Manufacturing Training Programs department that developed detailed training materials and testing criteria for the USA and Ireland diamond and cBN manufacturing operations. Prior to GE Mr. Kane served four years in the United States Marine Corps and was a combat veteran with two tours in Vietnam. Mr. Kane was promoted to Sergeant and provided Non Commissioned Officer Leadership training in this capacity. He was a Communications Technician and received a battlefield promotion in order to lead the setup of newly developed Radio Relay equipment in a forward combat zone. Sergeant Kane had repeat travel orders for all of I Corps and was in charge of multiple Radio Relay sites, to setup communication positions and provide technical support. Upon returning to the USA Sergeant Kane was a lead instructor at the US Marine Corps Radio Relay Schools Battalion.
KATHY A. KANE, Business Manager & Event Planner In 1973 - 1975 Ms. Kane managed an apartment complex and was responsible for overseeing rentals, monthly rental payments, collections plus hiring and managing personnel for property maintenance. From 1982 - 2000, Ms. Kane managed a dental practice where she did the billing and collections for the business. She also supervised personnel, provided patient relations and oversaw day to day operations of the business From 2000 to Present Ms. Kane has been the Business Manager of Kane Global Communications and served in the same capacity for the Industrial Diamond Association of America where she managed the finances for the Association including invoicing and collections for dues, advertising and event registrations. She also interviewed and contracted vendors to provide all services to the Association. Ms. Kane planned all events and activities for International Technical Conferences, Business Meetings and Educational Courses. For further information please email Kathy.
